Get answers to common questions about Scrotox.
Scrotox uses targeted Botox injections in the scrotal area to relax the cremaster muscle, smoothing wrinkles and allowing the testicles to sit lower. It reduces discomfort, may heighten scrotal sensitivity, and is performed as a quick, minimally invasive outpatient procedure by Dr. Zak.
Scrotox is safe when performed by experienced clinicians and after medical screening. Ideal candidates are healthy adults bothered by scrotal tightness or aesthetic concerns. Those with neuromuscular disorders, active infection, or who are pregnant should avoid treatment until medically cleared.
Results vary but typically last three to six months as Botox effects wear off. Individual metabolism and dose influence longevity. Many patients schedule maintenance treatments every four to six months; Dr. Zak will recommend a personalized follow-up plan during your consultation.
Most patients experience only brief discomfort from injections; topical numbing can minimize pain. There is little to no downtime — you can resume normal activities immediately, though minor swelling or bruising may occur and strenuous activity is best avoided for 24 hours.
Side effects are generally mild and temporary: localized bruising, swelling, numbness, or asymmetry. Rare risks include infection or unintended spread of toxin. A thorough medical history and consultation with Dr. Zak reduce risks and ensure Scrotox is appropriate for you.
Before your appointment, avoid blood thinners, NSAIDs, and alcohol for 48–72 hours unless directed otherwise. Disclose medications and medical history, follow any pre-visit hygiene instructions, and bring questions. Dr. Zak will review expectations and consent before treatment.
