Get answers to common questions about PRP Hair Restoration.
PRP concentrates platelets from your blood and injects growth factor-rich plasma into the scalp. These growth factors stimulate follicle activity, extend the growth phase, and improve hair thickness and count over a series of treatments.
Ideal candidates have early to moderate hair thinning, a healthy scalp, and realistic expectations. PRP works for many men and women, though those with advanced hair loss or certain medical conditions should consult our provider first.
Most clients follow an initial series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart, then maintenance injections every four to six months. Your provider will customize the schedule based on your response and goals.
Most patients report mild discomfort during injections, often managed with topical numbing. Minimal downtime is expected; you may experience light swelling or redness for a day or two but can usually resume normal activities.
PRP uses your own blood, so allergic reactions are rare. Temporary side effects can include localized pain, swelling, bruising, or mild scalp irritation. Serious complications are uncommon when performed by trained professionals.
Initial improvements like reduced shedding and thicker shafts may appear within two to three months. More noticeable density and new growth typically emerge after three to six months, with continued gains after maintenance sessions.
